Social Responsibility

Our Values

We aim to ensure that our core values guide us in everything we do. Our values apply to each and every colleague in our business in every aspect of the way we work. Collectively our values are known as ‘The FS Way’.

We encourage all staff to live our values through our annual performance management process, whereby our values are given equal weighting with hard skills and competencies.

  1. Trust

Trust is the foundation for all our interactions, relationships and work.

  2. Courage

Courage is essential for innovation, and we want to be the innovation leader in our market.

  3. Customer Centricity

We not only talk about our customers but rather with them whenever they need us; we live by our commitment to our customers and are able to be convincing through our expertise.

Together for Integrity

Together for Integrity (T4I) is the largest cultural change project ever undertaken in Volkswagen Financial Services. T4I is based on the principles of high quality ethics and compliance programs developed by the Ethics and Compliance Initiative (ECI) and defines VWFSI’s compliance culture:

  • Integrity and compliance are essential elements of our business strategy
  • Our managers on all levels create and maintain a culture of integrity
  • We promote, protect, and appreciate reports of concerns or suspected inappropriate behaviour
  • Integrity and compliance risk will be identified and mitigated
  • We take measures to address inappropriate behaviour

The purpose of these activities is to emphasise that compliance and integrity are just as important to VWFS as sales and profits.

What Is Important To Our Employees at VWFS?

Volkswagen Financial Services Ireland operates an "employee first" approach to business.

Our central aim is to provide a collaborative environment where continuous development can take place and where employees are supported to meet the changing demands and priorities of our business, while promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Charities & Partnerships

At Volkswagen Financial Services Ireland, ur collaboration with Volkswagen Group Ireland is central to how we make a meaningful social impact. Through a shared commitment to community engagement and responsible business, we partner each year with a range of charities, delivering fundraising initiatives, awareness campaigns and employee-led volunteering that support essential services across Ireland. This collaboration enables us to combine our resources, expertise and networks to maximise our contribution and create lasting, positive change in the communities we serve.

In recent years, VWFS has proudly supported a number of impactful organisations, including the Alzheimer Society of Ireland, Women’s Aid, Global Action Plan Ireland, the Irish Cancer Society, My Canine Companion, and Focus Ireland, as well as contributing to community recovery efforts such as the Creeslough initiative.

Our Women’s Network  plays a key role in fostering an inclusive and empowering workplace where female colleagues are supported at every stage of their careers. Created in collaboration with Volkswagen Group Ireland, the network provides a vibrant platform for connection, shared learning and open dialogue, bringing together colleagues across teams and career levels. Through events, panel discussions and practical resources, it encourages women to build confidence, develop their skills and navigate key milestones, while creating space for real conversations on topics that matter. By championing female empowerment and actively promoting diversity and inclusion, we are committed to creating an environment where every individual can thrive, contribute and realise their full potential.

INTRA Programme

Volkswagen Financial Services Ireland participates in the DCU INTRA (Integrated Training) programme as part of it’s commitment to education, skills development and early career opportunities. The programme provides students with structured work placements, enabling them to gain practical experience within a professional financial services environment. Through this engagement, VWFS Ireland supports the transition from academic study to employment by offering exposure to real-world business operations, professional standards and collaborative work practises.

From an organisational perspective, the programme allows VWFS to benefit from the contribution of students who bring academic insight, fresh perspectives and emerging skills into the business. This collaboration also fosters the development of future talent and strengthens a culture of learning and knowledge exchange across the organisation. Participation in the DCU INTRA programme aligns with VWFS Ireland’s broader social responsibility objectives and directly supports the expectations of ESRS S1 – Own Workforce, particularly in the areas of education, decent work, skills development and long-term workforce sustainability.
